Urchin

Picked up this sea urchin on a hike in California last spring. Somehow, it made it back to New York intact, along with 2 other urchin shells unbroken. The neatest thing about macro shots is finding details so small that you didn't know they existed, like the textures on the spines of the urchin. I think macros might be one of my favorite types of photography.

Very nice. I love the colors and there is a lost of detail in the larger version. Might be interesting as a full-frame shot as well. Nice job.
