Melting

This shot was originally done for burst of color, but I was going to attempt something similar for abstract and just never got around to setting it all up again. I shaved little slivers off of different crayons and put them on a sheet of aluminum foil. The aluminum foil went into the pan and I turned the heat on just a tad. Took the picture just as the crayons started to melt on the sides. The hardest parts of this were the static crayon shavings sticking to everything (and keeping them off of the actual pan), and getting the shot just as they started to melt. Too much melting and the colors all ran together... and taking the shot after it started to cool back down made it look strange.
