Seeds

I saw these the other day and took a picture of them, but then I saw some yesterday again on my windshield. I have no idea what they are, but they're interesting. Anyone know?

I'm not a tree expert, but I think it looks like some kind of Elm.

Thanks anonymous and jp! With that information, I'm guessing that these seeds are from a Dutch Elm or Hybrid Elm.

But, the other seeds that I saw on my windshield that were from a different area are probably the American Elm. I looked more closely at one today and it's fuzzier around the edges, especially now that it's dried up.
